It was pouring rain around parade time here yesterday, and the boys are getting older and less interested, so we skipped the local Canada Day festivities. Instead, we waited for the rain to stop and headed out to Elk Island National Park. National Parks have free admission on Canada Day. Who knew? The rain held off and we hiked along a trail for an hour or so. Lovely. Not too hot, not very many mosquitoes. It's been a long time since I was at this park.
Somebody was parasailing (is that the right word for this activity) on Astotin Lake. It looked very cool and with the wind, boy, could he move! Hope everybody had a very happy Canada Day!!!
