Through Black Spruce

Reader friends - I just finished Through Black Spruce for my book club.  Highly recommend it.  It took me a few pages to get into, but then I was really able to enjoy the story and savour the writing.  It is really an unforgettable story, an "astonishingly powerful novel of contemporary aboriginal life, full of the dangers and harsh beauty of both forest and city".
